Would you like to say things like **“Shut the door!”**, **“Don’t run!”** or **“Speak more slowly, please!”** in Spanish?
Then you need to learn the **basic commands in Spanish** — also known as the **imperative mood** 💬.

In this guide, you'll learn:

✅ How to use commands with *tú* and *usted* (informal vs polite)
✅ The difference between affirmative and negative forms
✅ A chart with common conjugations 📊
✅ Fun examples and practice activities 🎯

## 🧠 What is the Imperative mood?

The **imperative** is used in Spanish to:

Give **orders**: “¡Cierra la puerta!” → *Shut the door!* 🚪

Make **requests**: “¡Hable más despacio!” → *Speak more slowly!* 🗣️

Offer **instructions**: “¡Gira a la derecha!” → *Turn right!* ➡️

It’s used *all the time* — in shops, in the street, at home, in class… everywhere! 🌍

## 📣 Imperatives with *'TÚ'* and *'USTED'*

### ✅ '*Tú'* commands (informal)

🗣️ Examples:

**Habla** con tu profesor → *Speak to your teacher* 👨‍🏫

**Come** más fruta → *Eat more fruit* 🍎

**No comas** chocolate → *Don’t eat chocolate* 🍫

**Vive** el momento → *Live the moment* 🎉
