# News in Spanish for beginners: Spain’s summer heat and storms explained

El **1 de junio** empezó el **verano meteorológico** en España. Esto significa que, aunque el **verano astronómico** comienza el **21 de junio**, los **meteorólogos** consideran que el verano real empieza este mes. Este año, las **temperaturas** son más altas de lo normal, y se espera un verano muy caluroso.
